Another idea I worked out today (see Gmail).

142 BPm in D (I think this is "Re" in French, right?)

I am trying to get closer to FL compatibility. It sounds still different, but I kept it more open, so by people adding their individual influences it could become more FL-ish.

Yes, it's more the FL style (142 bpm is a good way, like Black or Red, What I Am).
The main chords look like "Things are not...", no?...

Ooops, is it? Maybe I listened to that CD too much, it's frying my brain

Not only will you still listen to those songs ... but soon you will play them too ...
I dig the verse ... It's true, the main theme (chorus) is close to "Things ..." but this can easily be improved if you play the chords differently or if you change the rythm pattern ... Very nice work, though!!!!
I will try something on it soon ...

Yep it's close to things are not.. However it's close to the FL style. Good job

Now listening to it again, I realise it's close to Black or Red too (the rhythm of the first riff after the clean part)

Well, at least I'm in the ballpark style wise now
